China-Indonesia relationship at all time high

Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa said during a meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao on Saturday that the relationship between Indonesia and China was at an all time high.

Prime Minister Wen is conducting a state visit to Indonesia. He and Marty met to discuss strategic partnerships between China and Indonesia.

According to Marty, the relationship between both nations was marked by friendship, equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.

“The development of the relationship between Indonesia and China has a greater and deeper meaning than just a bilateral relationship. The relationship has a wider dimension on the regional and global order,” he said, as reported by tribunnews.com.

He added that Wen’s visit to Indonesia, which included a meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, has resulted in many beneficial discussions for both countries.

“An extremely powerful momentum in increasing the strategic partnership between both countries was created yesterday,” he said, referring to the talks between the two leaders on Friday.
